Confidentiality Policy

1. What is kept confidential

Anything you share in a session, along with our notes about it, is confidential. Records are stored securely and only Ryan and named authorised admins can access them.

2. Limits of confidentiality

Ryan may need to break confidentiality if:

• There is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
• A child or vulnerable adult may be at risk — see our Safeguarding Policy.
• There is a legal duty (e.g. terrorism, money laundering, court order).

Wherever possible, we'll talk with you first about what needs to happen and why.

3. Professional practice

Where any case is ever discussed with another professional for the purpose of good practice, it is discussed anonymously and that person is bound by their own confidentiality standards.
