Safeguarding Policy

1. Our commitment

ADHD Pathways takes safeguarding seriously and follows relevant UK guidance for practitioners working with adults, young people and children.

2. When we act

If, during our work together, information comes to light suggesting a child or adult is at risk of significant harm, Ryan will:

• Where safe to do so, discuss the concern with you first.
• Share information with the relevant safeguarding service (e.g. Children's Services, Adult Social Care, the Police).
• Record what was shared, with whom, and why.

3. Working with under 18s

Where clients are under 18, a parent or guardian provides written consent and shares emergency contact details before work begins. Confidentiality with the young person is respected, subject to the limits above.

4. Raising a concern

If you are worried about someone's safety, contact 101 (non-emergency police) or 999 in an emergency. You can also contact your local council's Children's Services or Adult Social Care team directly.

5. Reviewing this policy

This policy is reviewed at least annually and after any incident.
